America's Premier Steel Conference Goes Virtual!

As the world faces the unprecedented challenge of COVID-19, and travel restrictions and other factors continue to limit the movement of people, we are pleased to announce the SMU Steel Summit will go ahead this year - as a virtual conference.

In the SMU Community Chat webinar on Wednesday, July 29th, Paul Terry of CRU and John Packard of Steel Market Update gave a live demo of the virtual event platform that will be the 2020 SMU Virtual Steel Summit Conference. They explain the networking, agenda, exhibition and other functionality of this year's virtual event, so you can stay connected even while staying at home.

The virtual event will be much more than just a series of webinars:

The virtual conference will provide a fully immersive experience, with multiple interactive spaces. You'll be greeted in the lobby and from there, you can:
  • click into the auditorium to watch the agenda and participate in live Q&A's
  • enter the exhibit hall, meet exhibitors, explore their products and services,
  • network with attendees - everywhere in the virtual venue

The agenda has been re-imagined so you can attend sessions, explore the exhibit hall, network, and have time to check in on your day-to-day job.

The agenda and speaker profile is the same high quality that is the hallmark of the SMU Steel Summit Conference. We know community and connections are important for our industry, and how now, more than ever, we need to gather, share future scenarios, discuss ideas with peers, and to get back to business. The virtual event experience will also enable to you to network with your peers to do business, as you would at the physical conference.

Everyone from the C-Suite to new hires will gain from attending. If you have never attended an SMU event, this is the one to attend.  It will give you a good feel for the quality of the program and the value received – all for the great value price of $450 (or $350 if you are a subscriber and bring a colleague)

More details on the virtual event experience will be announced on this website soon - to be kept up-to-date, complete this form
