Status of International Trade

It would not be a SMU steel conference if we did not have an update, dialogue, debate on foreign steel and its impact on the U.S. steel industry. Over the past few years we have seen how Section 232, Section 301 along with anti-dumping (AD), countervailing duty (CVD) and circumvention suits have impacted the amount of foreign steel being sent into the United States. There is a new administration and the debate continues, with the main question being, How much longer will we have Section 232 tariffs in place?
