ammonia and methanol related industries. Roberto has over 20 years of
experience servicing the chemical, petrochemical and gas/syngas industries in
process equipment sales, technical consultancy services and catalyst sales.
Roberto studied Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and
achieved his PhD in Organometallic Chemistry in 2005. At Johnson Matthey he has responsibility
for the catalyst sales in the European territory and works closely with JM’s
market management team providing solutions to all our customers.
Marco Groenewegen is the research and development lead
engineer at Kreber and holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from
the Delft University of Technology.
During his career at Kreber, Marco has played a vital role
in various successful innovations, making sure Prilling Equipment meets or
exceeds regulations and demands for new products in different markets. Among
these achievements are the calculation model for thermodynamic balance of
prilling towers, and his work on the development of the spiralling jet breakup
model, allowing detailed modelling of the jet breakup of various melts in the

He has experience in process optimization, energy consumption optimization, implementation of APC controllers, in RCAs, HAZOPs, contractors' management for catalyst replacement and reduction, and Pre Start up Safety Reviews after plant stops.

Clara Schlereth is a postdoctoral researcher at the DECHEMA research institute in Frankfurt, Germany. She has a master’s degree and a PhD in materials science and engineering in the field of high temperature corrosion. In the last five years, she studied both environmental factors as well as the material selection for the process plants. One focus of her work is corrosion by hot synthesis gas in conventional and new technologies.
Johannes Elischewski graduated from Technical University of Dortmund in 2015 and joined thyssenkrupp Uhde as a process engineer. He has been working in engineering and commissioning of various ammonia projects. Tatang Arind Pradibta is a Production Engineer at PT Pupuk Kujang, one of the leading fertilizer company in Indonesia. Steve Lancaster is the Chief Engineer at BD Energy Systems, responsible for steam methane furnace technology, in particular the thermal and process design. He has worked with fired heaters in general, and steam methane reformers in particular, for 37 years, including at Kellogg/KBR for over thirty years, and IHI E&C (former Davy/Kvaerner). Alexander Rösch is the Director of the Syngas & Methanol Product Line at Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions. Alexander holds a German Diploma for Chemical Engineering from TU Bergakademie Freiberg. He started his career as a Process Engineer with the Lurgi GmbH in 2006. After different assignments as Process and Commissioning Manager, Alexander was leading the Process Department for HyCO Technologies at the Air Liquide Center in Houston for several years. After heading the Product Line for the Lurgi Steam Methane Reformer in Frankfurt, he is today managing the Product Line for Lurgi Autothermal Reforming (ATR), Lurgi Gas- and Liquid POX, Lurgi Rectisol and Lurgi Methanol Synthesis.
Thomas Ried studied chemical engineering at the Technical University Munich. After his Master´s thesis in 2011, he started as a process and development engineer at Linde Engineering. During the first years at Linde, his area of responsibility was in Adsorption technology with particular focus on pressure swing adsorption. For the past couple of years, he works as a process engineer for Hydrogen and Syngas plants. Currently, his focus is on reducing the carbon footprint of new as well as existing plants.

Eric van Dijk (Ph.D.) is an experienced project manager with a strong scientific background in Chemical Engineering. Eric van Dijk has a degreein Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven Technical University. He finishedhis Ph.D. at the Eindhoven Technical University on a mechanisticinvestigation of the Fischer-Tropsch reaction. He joined TNO (formallyECN) in 2000, working in the applied catalysis group. hydrogen and syngas, starting out in catalyst development for steam reforming
and autothermal reforming applications. He has spent the last seventeen
years in a variety of commercial roles in catalyst sales and technology
licensing roles in the Americas and Europe always with hydrogen, ammonia, and
methanol as a central pillar. Phil joined the Low Carbon Hydrogen team in
October 2021 motivated by the transformative opportunity that the transition to
Net Zero presents.
Lari Bjerg Knudsen is ammonia technology manager for Topsoe A/S
with responsibility for continued development of Topsoe ammonia technology to
support the global green energy transition. Mr. Knudsen has more than 20 years
of experience within chemical engineering and more than 15 years working for
Topsoe A/S within hydrogen, syngas and ammonia. The first 12 years covering
design, operator training, commissioning and start-up as well as process
development. For the last 3 years Mr. Knudsen has held his current position as
ammonia technology manager with a strong focus on developing green ammonia. Mr.
Knudsen has a M. Sc. Chemical Engineering degree from the Technical University
Giovanni Manenti has spent more than 20 years, in engineering and
manufacturing companies, in the design and product development for process heat
transfer equipment. He has focused his activity on “hot & heavy” equipment
like process gas boilers, transfer-line exchangers, waste heat recovery units, heaters,
and syngas prototype equipment. Mr Manenti counts seven international patents
on heat transfer technology and has a PhD in chemical engineering at Politecnico
Dmitry Lipkind holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in Moscow and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from University of Missouri-St. Louis, USA. He has extensive expertise in designing and manufacturing various types of heat exchangers, including heat pipes and heat pipe-based heat exchangers for low-, medium- and high-temperature applications. His work in the field of heat pipe-based heat exchangers has resulted in novel designs for recouperators, steam generators/condensers and flat heat pipes that have been implemented across various industries. In addition to serving as Technical Director for Econotherm, Hussam is also Professor/Department Director for Research at Brunel University in London. Hussam has received more than £12.2M research funding from various UK/EU based research councils (RCUK & EU H2020) and from British and European industrial partners. Alex Scheerder holds a Masters in Science degree in Applied
Physics from the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He started
his professional career in 1986 as a Research Associate at the NDT (Non
Destructive Testing) Department of DSM Research in the Netherlands. From 1992
Mr. Scheerder headed the NDT Department of DSM Engineering-Stamicarbon.
In 2001 he joined Stamicarbon as a Mechanical Lead Engineer

Manuel Prohaska holds a master's degree in Materials Science and a PhD in Corrosion Science from University of Leoben (Austria) and has joined the urea industry in 2011, when he started to work at BHDT. After different roles in sales and product development, Manuel became Managing Director in 2018. 1.5 years later he left BHDT and joined Schoeller Bleckmann Nitec (SBN). At SBN, he had a double role as Sales & Commercial Managing Director. Olivia Chung is a Senior Engineer with Quest Integrity's Advanced Engineering group based in Wellington, New Zealand. Her experience includes metallurgical field support, metallurgical condition assessments, failure analysis, materials testing and general fitness-for-service support for static pressure equipment, pressure piping and rotating equipment. Olivia has a BE(Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury and is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand.

Dr Emmanuel Rohart, PhD in Catalysis, is General Manager of Enercat a French SME. Expert in Catalysis for automotive applications, he is the co-author of more than 30 patents in the field of rare earths based washcoat materials. During the past 10 years in Enercat, he actively supported the development of advanced catalytic solutions for Environmental Applications (DeNOx , DeCOV, DeNH3 stationary applications, DeN2O from Nitric Acid plants). More recently he initiated new developments within Enercat for the production of better and cost competitive catalysts for the respective e-CH4, e-CH3OH and NH3 cracking processes.
Christoph Wöber graduated as a mechanical engineer at Technical University Darmstadt, Germany. Since 1993 he works at WIKA, focused on instrumentation for nonstandard applications. He started in sales as proposal engineer. During the past three decades, Christoph has taken over different responsibilities, like product management, key account management and technical consultant. He has headed a sales support team supporting instrumentation companies on their supplies with added value by WIKA diaphragm seals into O&G and CPC projects all over the world. Norbert Ringer graduated as Chemical Engineer
from the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen/Nuremberg, Germany, and
started his career in the catalyst business with Süd-Chemie AG in 1990. He has
more than 33 years of experience in the field of syngas catalysts for hydrogen,
ammonia, and methanol production having held various roles in R&D,
technical service, sales and product management. From 2012 - 2018 he had the
position of head of sales Syngas in EMEA. Since 2018, he acts as global methanol
industry director and has the role of global Syngas industry expert
Philipp Harings joined Ineos and it’s site in Cologne in 2009 as a dual
apprentice. After completing his study as a chemical engineer he worked in the
site’s internal turnaround management. Within five years he was involved in
four major turnarounds in various supporting to leading roles. The turnarounds
mainly concerned the ammonia and nitric acid plants. Therefore, Philipp seized
the opportunity in 2018 and moved into the ammonia and nitric acid business as
a plant manager assistant. In 2023 he was promoted to being the responsible
plant manager for both plants.

Christina's earlier experiences at Linde Engineering included working as a
static equipment and package unit engineer before focusing on large, cryogenic
storage tanks for over ten years as a Lead Engineer on various projects and as
a construction site superintendent.
Philippe Goossens dedicated his professional life to engineer anti-pollution systems worldwide for over 45 years. Philippe started back in 1978 with Monsanto Enviro Chem Systems (MECS) covering sulfuric acid, chlorine and fertilizer industry with their specific systems as BRINK® fiber bed mist eliminator, HRS systems and DYNAWAVE® scrubbing systems.In 1995, Philippe started to work with SOCREMATIC a highly reputable scrubber manufacturing company located as CERGY in FRANCE which he added as the managing director 2022.Nowadays, due to his vast experience, he is still active in SOCREMATIC as senior consultant.
Jakir Mansoori has a diploma in Chemical Engineering from Kota, India. He has 27 years of experience in Ammonia process technology especially KBR Ammonia technology. During this time, he has commissioned 4 KBR Ammonia Plants in India and Nigeria, 1 Uhde Ammonia Plant and Haldor-Topsoe Ammonia Plant. His experience in plant commissioning has helped him to successfully carryout various troubleshooting activities in his career.
Novi Ariharnomo is Operations & Site Head of PAU Ammonia Plant in Indonesia.
